Ragi Idly | Finger Millet Idly | Kezhvaragu Idly


Ragi/Finger millet idly is a healthy breakfast for the whole family. Tomato chutney goes well with these healthy idlis. For a change try this idlies, you will love it.


Ingredients

  • Whole Ragi/Finger millet – 1 cup
  • Idli Rice – 1 cup
  • Urad dhal – ½ cup
  • Salt – to taste

Method

Soak individually ragi/finger millet, idli rice and urad dhal. Grind urad dhal into a fine paste by adding enough water. Transfer to a bowl.

Grind ragi/finger millet into a fine paste (add enough water to grind), then add rice and grind till you a get smooth paste (not very fine).

Add this mixture to urad dhal paste. Add salt and mix well.

Keep the batter for 8 hours for fermentation.

After 8 hours grease idli plates and make idlis and enjoy with tomato chutney.
